Sprint might have made a mistake, announcing the Evo 4G months before actual release so that competitors could see and make their products better, and possibility of an even better phone when it releases, and cutting off sales of the HD2.
But it was worth it.
Sprint probably enjoyed it.
For at least a week on Engadget, the Evo overtook the iPad on rank, and was covered, and coveted over and over and over.
Watching nearly every Engadget commenter regretting having bought HD2′s actually a day AFTER it was announced, and those who bought the Nexus, the DROID, and etcetera.
Watching everyone wanting the phone NOW.
You know how I said about the ‘Next Big Thing’? Like the iPhone was to 2007? This is closer than most others.
Likely the first in the US with a front-facing camera.
8 MP camera. 720p video. HTC Sense. Android.
This just might be the killer phone.
If Apple disappoints at WWDC with iPhone G4 [NOT 4G]
I’m moving.
Of course, by that time HTC will have rolled out the Evo killer, announcing it 4 months later, and we’ll likely stay on our toes for that.
In final opinion,
The HTC Evo 4G is about an entire year ahead of everyone else.
Dude.. I didn’t you had a blog!! Nice stuff man. I was upset to hear that I can’t get the new iPhone at least until July 14th! My coworker was able to preorder last night at around 8 pm (after a whole day’s worth of attempts). I didn’t even bother trying yesterday.
